Elisabetta Rotolo, CEO & Founder of MIAT, speaks at the European Parliament on Building a More Inclusive Digital Future

“The future of technology must be built by everyone, for everyone.”

We are proud to announce that Elisabetta Rotolo, CEO & Founder of MIAT | Multiverse Institute For Arts & Technology, was invited to speak at the European Parliament, contributing to the strategic vision for a stronger and more inclusive digital ecosystem.

During the Panel on “Digital Skills and Opportunities for Women’s Increased Role in IT”, Elisabetta addressed the challenges and opportunities for women in technology, emphasizing the urgent need for systemic change to close the gender gap in AI, STEM, and tech leadership.

The Gender Gap in AI and STEM: A Present Challenge

The numbers speak for themselves:

  • Only 22% of the global AI workforce are women.
  • In managerial roles, that number drops to just 18%.

This is not a distant issue—it is happening now.

Building Inclusion: A Collective Mission

In her speech, Elisabetta Rotolo stressed that inclusion cannot be left to chance—it must be designed and built through structural changes in education, corporate policies, and leadership pipelines.

Companies must move beyond diversity pledges and create real career pathways for women in IT.
Governments and institutions must drive gender equity in STEM through education, financial incentives, and progressive policies.
Public and private sectors must align to remove barriers and foster real opportunities for women in AI, IT, and digital leadership.

At MIAT, we are actively leading this change. Through education, mentorship, and cutting-edge immersive technologies, we are training the next generation of female pioneers in AI, XR, and immersive storytelling.

Here’s to building a world where talent knows no gender and opportunities in tech are limitless.
